By nature, I am a very compassionate and empathetic person. My main goal is to give back to the community in any way I can, which is why I dedicate so much of my time to volunteering. Many say that volunteering is defined as an act of helping others without gaining anything in return, but I do not feel this way. To me, every time I volunteer, I get a feeling of happiness and satisfaction that is only evoked when I help others just for the sake of helping. To me, this emotion is the best kind of return. Volunteering also gives me a chance to utilize my skills for a meaningful cause, and make a positive impact on my community. These are just some of the many reasons I am proud to be a part of the DataEthics4All Community tutoring program!
I believe I can make a valuable contribution to this organization as a qualified tutor, with a passion for teaching and volunteering. Starting from playing “school” with my little brother, I have been involuntarily nurturing my love for teaching as long as I can remember. As of today, I have dedicated several of hours to teaching students a variety of topics, from Indian Classical Music, to Geometry and Algebra. I also possess several key qualities that all teachers should have, like compassion, dedication, and most of all, patience. In addition to this, I am taking several college-level courses, such as AP Calculus. I really enjoy Math, and I am extremely lucky and grateful that I have been given this opportunity to share my passion by sharing what I have learned and teaching others who might benefit from it.
